Cons: The hotel was fine, we checked in at 4:00 after receiving my room keys, I was handed a letter saying there will be no hot water from 11:00 am. After skiing all day it would have been nice to take a hot shower, especially with small children. Ice cold showers is no fun. I was offered no compensation for the inconvenience from the staff. Maybe waiving some of the fees, parking, resort etc. I’ve stayed at this hotel for over 20 years as far back as when it was Caesars. Not sure if I’ll stay again

Cons: Staff. I’ve never met so many rude people in my life. The receptionist was incompetent. She checked me in, then forgot I had purchased two rooms which were to be connected. They forgot. Then they couldn’t get our rooms close. The place is outdated and old. It feels like an old folks home with disrepairs everywhere. The tables are 6/5 no 3/2 here! My daughters bed wasn’t even made. They literally had the bed cover on it and when you pulled the cover back there were no sheets. Wallpaper coming off the walls. Lights falling down. Dealers are incredibly rude.

Pros: The rooms were big and thanks to the staff we had a great view from our room. It was clean and good for the price.

Pros: The area is great. We stayed there whilst skiing Tahoe. A beautiful location. We have stayed in other Tahoe area hotels before, that were excellent. Not this one. As for Bally's, the check-in gal was 110% excellent and the highlight of the stay. Whatever they are paying her, it isn't enough. Everyone was very friendly, although not always helpful. (More on that, later.) The ski shop is a gem. It has all brand new equipment, great prices, with convenience, and pleasant staff. The bathrooms looked newly renovated and were gorgeous and clean. When we asked for clean pillow cases, we were immediately brought new pillows.

Cons: We were NOT told in advance that the hotel room heat would be off intermittently for repairs. We thought we could live with that. We discovered no daily room cleaning unless requested; ok, we can deal with that. Sadly, the stay deteriorated from there. The carpet and bedroom areas were not very clean. Our bed runner was stained and filthy with vomit stains or some kind of human excrement. There were hairs on my (unused yet by me) pillow. We booked two rooms and four of us were there for three nights. The hot water never worked during the day in either room for our ENTIRE stay. We are old dinosaurs, and would get sore and stop skiing during the day, limp back with dreams of hot showers. None to be had. The water was only hot in the mornings and evenings. We were told alternatively, to "let the water run" or " the hotel engineer will come check it." We waited and the engineer never showed. We let the water run. and water never got hot. So we sat, sore and tired, in cold rooms with no hot water. Perhaps they are turning down the water heat during the day to save money, and not telling the staff. We asked for a discount on the room rate, for no hot water and intermittent heat. (FWIW, we had paid a higher rate than was currently available.) They agreed to take off $27 (which is the resort fee) for just one day of our stay.
