Cute lodge was a great base to explore from Red Rocks to Grand Canyon.

Pros: The place had a cute, mountain lodge feel. It was nicely furnished and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all of the essentials. My daughter loved sleeping in the loft and going up and down the spiral staircase. And the hot tub was lovely! A great way to warm the bones after trekking in the cold for hours. It was easy to get to and out of the crowds. We appreciated the woods like setting and the swing out front. There was even a basketball hoop for my son!

Cons: If there was one suggestion it would be to replace the shower heads and add an extender. The shower head is probably 30 years old and I had to bend to wash my hair - Im only 57 so I can only imagine what is was like for my 65 husband. It would have also been nice to be stocked with firewood for our arrival, but we didnt go thru the effort to get more to have a fire.

Cons: Skillets were warped--horrible for cooking. Poor lighting in living room. Draperies off hooks hanging off rod like a neglected accent. So ugly couldn't take a memory picture. Because of cold and rain, couldn't even hear the stream. Thought we had a slim but partial view which we didn't. Cabins too close together. No explanation on housekeeping and we didn't get any service for 3 days with only 2 towels in room. We had to "request" service. Need better explanations of services.

Room 45 has no warm or hot water so icy cold showers were horrible !!!

Pros: Love the atmosphere and location

Cons: We love it here and have stayed a few times before . The kids love the wooded area in the back Close enough to all the hikes and sightseeing but also far enough from the spring break hustle and bustle !
