Served its purpose.

Pros: Good location in the old town. Very easy to get to various sites via tram. Comfy bed and basic amenities. Supermarket just down the road, lots of places surrounding to eat at. Decent continental breakfast.

Cons: Whilst it is in a great location, pretty much the whole street had the small of marijuana as there are quite a few coffee shops along the road.

Pleasant stay in the heart...

Pros: Very central hotel and conveniently located to walk around Zurich. Despite being so central, it wasn't noisy in the evenings, at least I did not have any issues sleeping on the 3rd floor. Lots of bars/ restaurants around. The room was clean and comfortable, a rather simple room but cosy.

Cons: Bedding was super dusty! Staff was cold and too formal. Noisy party in “courtyard” went till 1 am on Sunday night. Fake timbers; thought we were booking something more authentic.

Pros: The location is amazing, the staff is very friendly and helpful. If you want cheese fondue, the restaurant is attached to the hotel and they provide free bottled water and soda, which is fantastic.

Pros: That the breakfast was included, the hotel was flexible to let me check out 1 hour later.

Cons: To me quality of sleep is my main criterion for the hotel - that was not the best in this hotel: the bed is way too hard - appropriate for a heavy person and there was work in the hotel in the morning that could be heard. Bathroom - old fashioned bathtub - no shower cabin, old toilet which slams when you close it, tissue paper for the face just above the toilet.

small but very comfortable hotel...

Pros: Hotel was great value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. My colleague used the local gym access to which was provided freely by the hotel. Very pleased.

Cons: nothing negative to report. The hotel is located on a busy corner with pedestrian trafffic but noise was minimum and at a very acceptable level.

Fun stay close to everything

Pros: The hotel is situated in the heart of city center, everything within a short walk or by train. The bed is very comfortable and the bedding lush. The stuff is extremely helpful and nice and helped with everything. The complimentary water bottles, milk, and coffee - a really nice touch.

Cons: The only cons: lots of noises outside as the rooms are not soundproof, and there is construction work being done outside. We also found the breakfast offerings a bit sparse for vegans, but the staff helped and offered to accommodate. For vegans, I highly recommend the organic shop nearby as it has a great deal of variety, as well as the restaurants Roots and Beetnut. (Just be aware that a flexi burger has ingredients that some would not consider vegan).

Cons: The Internet was very slow, basic breakfast, the walls are thin, and there is major construction on the street so it doesn't look as cute as in the pictures. This will probably change since it looks temporary. March, 2024.
