Cons: I was not happen when i had paid £80 for a room to be woken but by the fair alarm at 9am. I have been travelling for work and not checked in until late. I was hoping to have a lay in before having to travel back but after the alarm i cut my stay short and left. I did not feel i got a good night sleep as i previously have staying at this property

Pros: The extra touches - VIK extra treat for children to choose from the snack area, cookies on reception. Gluten free station and kids station at breakfast. Range and quality of foods at breakfast. Excellent toiletry products in the room - hand lotion, shampoo etc. The welcome from all staff. The Friendliness of individual servers: Clemmie - was wonderful, understanding and knowledgeable. The pool facility being available for family use at all times.

Cons: The pool area being restricted to one small lane for families and priority given to lane swimming which meant that during the Easter holidays it became a bit unmanageable when 3+ familes wanted to be in the water at one time. There was rubbish - toothbrushes, glass, plastic food packaging around the outside and in the carpark of the hotel. We did see 2 rats one on the first night and one the following evening in the carpark.

Cons: There were a couple of bits of the room that were just tatty, the curtain tiebacks were frayed to pieces and the curtains didn't open and close. The window was definitely not double glazed so traffic noise was quite loud (although I do accept the location of the hotel means you will hear some traffic). The standard lamp in my room didn't work. The bathroom was a bit tatty, the shower tray was not sealed properly and I was worried about water going through to downstairs so i popped an extra towel down when I showered,, the worktop under the sink was split and the there was water damage across the width of the base of the bathroom door and it looked like it had been kicked off its hinges and glued back on again. I felt this was below the standard I would expect for somewhere charging a hundred pounds a night.

Cons: Extremely dated rooms (including the corridors), not fully clean: dusty room, stains on the sheets and towels, bathroom not fully clean, dirty mouldy window frame.

Pros: Good bed and pillows. Spacious room. Pleasant and helpful staff. Clean and warm pool. Child- friendly environment, including the restaurant area. Breakfast and dinner fantastic. Would love to stay again.

Cons: Both hotel and restaurant staff were not sure what food from the dinner menu was included in Half board. Two different menus were given to us. Asked to pay at checkout for children's meal but was sorted after explaining. Otherwise, food was delicious.

Pros: Loved the breakfast, free kids dinner, pool area, and that the rooms were quite large. Also the bedding was very comfortable.

Cons: that you had to be 16 years or older to go in the hot tub, my children's baths are hotter then that water

Lovely Stay - Wonderful staff....

Pros: The staff. They all were so friendly, from reception to the cooks darting in and out during breakfast. Efficient and professional.

Cons: Far to many items from the menu was off. Very simple dishes like Pizza were unavailable. Many of the starters unavailable.. As a family after a 7 hour journey we had hoped to be able to order children's favorites. What we did order was excellent though. Well presented and generous. The Room. An absolute disaster. Late night shower flooded entire bathroom and flooded into our room. The carpet was saturated in entry hall of room. The door to bathroom was like driftwood on a beach so this has obviously happened many times before. So we tried to call reception but the phone didn't work. Used all the towels to make a dam and had to walk to the reception in pyjama's to get help. Tried to put heating on in the room but the thermostat was not working so no joy. As a builder I could see the shower tray had been raised of the floor by over 12 inches and my guess is they have a drainage problem so attempted to solve it by hoping this would increase the flow. I am not sure that such a step up so high is even within the building regulations. How people who are less agile haven't slipped on their descent in a wet room is beyond me. Shame to have to say all this.. But the great staff do not need their exemplary service to be so undermined by the buildings failure and us, as a rare away trip, deserved a better hotel room to celebrate our daughters birthday. Still. Plymouth Argyle won the football match against Rotherham and as a member of the Green Army I'll take that.

Pros: Great staff, Leanne on front desk-fantastic, gifts for kids went down wonderfully, pool marvellous if a touch cool but particularly liked the lap section for swimmers, breakfast - good options and family orientated too.

Cons: Booked a family room. Bed was spacious and comfortable, sofa bed was not. Uncomfortable and sunk in.

Pros: Room was clean, spacious and comfortable.

Cons: The cooked breakfast was below average, many of the items were lukewarm.

Pros: Room was comfortable, leisure facilities were good. Staff all pleasant and friendly

Cons: No sockets near the bed to charge devices all on the opposite side of the room
