Pros: The hotel was well set up for a wedding

Cons: We arrived at 12noon and the receptionist was very brusque verging on rude. I was told check in was 2pm and to go away and come back then. I explained that we were attending a wedding at 1pm and was told we could sit in the bar. As we had travelled by car from various places to meet up it would have been helpful to have access for somewhere to change - mist of us had come half ready for the wedding and the men completed getting ready in their cars. My cousin used the ladies toilet. I had booked 3, rooms for 5 adults and 2 children and my son using the family room was told he would have to pay supplement as the booking only had one adult in the family room - the other adult was covered in the double room so there were not any extra people. I spoke to a different receptionist when we checked out and she removed the extra charge and was very nice to deal with.

Pros: We were attending a wedding at 1pm. The hotel was set up well for that.

Cons: The receptionist was very brusque almost rude when we arrived at 12noon and told to go away until 2pm check in. I explained we were attending a wedding at 1pm and I was told we could sit in the bar. Our room was above the function suite and exceedingly noisy until the disco ended.

Pros: A lovely 2 night stay while attending a wedding close by. Staff were all so pleasant and helpful. Lovely room with huge walk in shower. Nice meal in Copper Beech Restaurant and great breakfast.

Pros: A perfect stay for the first night of our honeymoon, we stopped here on our way to the Highlands and were kindly upgraded to a suite. The room was spacious, luxurious and extremely clean.

Pros: On arrival at hotel we were told our room had been upgraded to the Eden suite which was a lovely suprise the room was lovely and comfertable this was our second stay at the hotel and we will definatly be back again to this beautiful hotel

Pros: Loved everything about this very grand hotel. Super friendly staff. Very luxurious room with comfy bed. Breakfast was very good and we also had dinner which had great selections. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Pros: The contemporary decore was pleasing and the staff were chatty and friendly. The parking was easy too whihc is good. The place looks very well looked after and cared for.

Cons: menu options at dinner. There are so few vegetables served it is alarming. I only eat on one night because I couldn't cope witht he lack of fresh veg. I had the fish pie which was very nice to eat but was really a creamy fish stew with two blobs of mashed potato ontop with some melted cheese scattered on top. It was served with garlic bred which felt like carbohydrate overload and just wrong. Freshly steamed carrots and savoy cabbage would have been much better. I was in a room at the back of the hotel and the wats and delivery lorries rocked up very early so a lie in was kind of difficult.

Pros: This hotel delivers great service every time I visit Fantastic hospitality by all members of staff. Superb rooms that are so comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bar area with the open fire is a great place for a wind down with a drink. The food served in the restaurant is fantastic, and the breakfast in the morning is a winner. Cannot fault the place.
