I’m disappointed

Pros: The room was dirty, and really small.

Cons: It was not like the pictures

Pros: Fantastic location to attend a concert/opera at Lincoln Center. Easy process checking in/out. Courtesy and service of Luggage room staff.

Cons: Hotel seriously need a room update (bathroom, A/C,...)

Pros: Room was very small and tired, pictures were taken very strategically to make it look bigger location was very good beds were quite hard

Cons: beds could have been better could have had better storage for clothes

It was okay

Pros: Located right next to the central park and a metro station. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. I'm not sure about New York prices in general but I guess it was good value for money.

Cons: Water in the shower took ages to turn hot. We were on the first floor and windows were covered because the view was on to the outside AC units. The was accousting coming and green noise in the room but it wasn't the AC as the latter wasn't working.

Very poor

Cons: The room was very noisy despite a specific request for a quiet room. The whole hotel was quite run-down e.g. the pull on the blind in my room was broken and not repaired during a 4 night stay despite that being requested. Also the facilities were poor e.g. nowhere to get even a cup of coffee.

Pros: Location.

Cons: AC blew hot air and didn’t work. Room was extremely hot and nobody slept.

Cons: Washroom was very de lapidated. Alarm went off at 6 am. The blinds did not work properly, shower didn’t drain, the key didn’t initially work, certainly needs to be updated & re novated

Pros: The Staff and the location.

Cons: 1. The room we get upon arrival was in the back and the outside AC (or whatever machine) was very noisy. I couldn't sleep all night. The very understanding front desk staff moved us to another room when I made a complaint the next morning. 2. At such a price range, NO Kettle/Tea/Coffee offered is unbelievable. 3. The curtains in both rooms are all broken. you can't roll up or down. 4. The shower room door was badly worn and indeed need an update to compliment the hotel's reputation and the photos on the website. 5. The Room's security lock was broken and thus loosen to lock itself when you close the door. We were locked outside of our room upon returned and luckily the housekeeper managed to opened it for us. Seems very good at it thus assumed the door security lock has been broken for long long time that trained the housekeeper to fix it manually. The Door Lock definitely need a fix. 6. There's only 1 umbrella in each room. When we go to the front desk for extra umbrella, there's no umbrella available and the staff ask us to go back to our room for 5-10 mins for doorman to bring it up. This is a very funny system and wasting guests' time. 7.Housekeeping knocking on door for cleaning at 8:15am... too early. wonder if the hotel under-staffed so the housekeeper has to start early.

Empire hotel needs some improvement

Pros: It's a nice hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: No pool although advertised (closed). No cast to TV ability from personal devices. Room was very dark and way too warm. No tea/coffee facilities.

Overall it was a great...

Pros: It was nice that they provided bottled water because the water quality is sketchy. The staff are really nice and helpful. Great location to everything. The lobby is a nice gathering point.

Cons: No coffee. Some of the furnishings were run down. The courtyard view was a view of another side of the building 10 ft away. There was noisy air conditioning equipment outside.
