Nice stay at Asteris Village.
Pros: The property is very nice. It includes multiple small buildings with apartments of different sizes. We had a one bedroom apartment, with a small kitchen. The room was quite small, the kitchenette was right in the hallway. The bathroom was also quite small, the toilet was right in front of the shower, there weren't many places to hang or put your stuff. The room was very clean, there were towels and there was A/C, there was a space for luggage and the fridge in the room is larger in size and included a freezer, which for us was a very useful element. We had a ground floor room, with a small terrace, which included a rack to dry your towels, 2 comfy chairs and a table. There were pomegranate and olive trees in the garden, there was a pool and many places to park inside the gated garden. There is a maybe 10 minute walk to the beach and about 15-20 minute walk to the more central area of the village. The hotel is right off the main road and there is an underground passage (lit at night) that takes you to the other side (for the beach, other hotels & stores). There are some other areas of the walk from the beach/tavernas to the hotel that are not lit, we used our phone for light. But it is not needed for that long, so not a big issue. The breakfast at the location is not very varied, it is acceptable for a snack for the road, but not so much for a longer stay. The staff at the reception were very friendly and nice, the lady who checked us in, came with us to show us the room and facilities and was very polite and accommodating.
Cons: We had a short stay, so for us the room and area were ok, but it is quite small. We didn't like the breakfast, we were expecting something a bit more varied (include some cheeses, some local products, pies, etc.). The staff were trying to keep things clean and organized, but they did not refill everything very quickly and some things were not refilled at all towards the end of the schedule (around half an hour before the scheduled time to end breakfast). The A/C is right by the bed and it blows air right in the area of the pillows. We had to use it, because even though the temperature got better at night, not enough cold air was coming in through the window, and there were no mosquito nets. But it was quite uncomfortable, because we could not find a position where the air did not blow directly in your face. A shelf or some form or redirecting the air flow when needed would be very useful for a long term stay.
