    Wonderful location and friendly staff

    Pros: We really enjoyed the quiet, forest location away from the main road. The swimming pool was a lovely area to relax after a day sightseeing and our family room had plenty of space for the four of us. It's a bit of a drive out any local restaurants from the resort so we ate dinner at the hotel each night. The buffet was lovely with a good choice of Sri Lankan and western dishes. We thought all the food was good value for money. Maduranga in the restaurant looked after us very well. The manager and staff were all very friendly and keen to help.
    Cons: The al carte menu was very good but we found there were long waits between the first person's meal being served and the last person's. We preferred the buffet.

    Awesome place to balance culture and relax

    Pros: The swimming area is amazing. I struggle to find proper swimming pools where I can exercise. This place has the best pool if ever seen in a hotel. Upali, the owner, is amazing! Do not hesitate to sit down and have a chat with him. The food is very good quality. And the hotel itself is a little peaceful oasis.
    Cons: They could improve a bit the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Not that it is a major issue, but they could get better at it.

    Pleasant stay but very overpriced

    Pros: The wildlife .
    Cons: Rooms are pretty basic but ok. A lot of the facilities seemed to be closed and slightly abandoned. The staff were pleasant but you still had to chase them for what you needed. Drinks, pool towels etc. it was very overpriced for what it was. The breakfast buffet however was good

    Cons: Under staffed. No standards for a 4 star resort. Had to wait for checkin extra 2 hours. Got a room at 8pm. Staff seemed a bit racist towards jaffna people

    Average stay. I would stay somewhere else next time.

    Pros: Good location. Staff are friendly, and trying their best to help. Staff need some direction and clear tasks allocation rather than running around headless!
    Cons: My room had a sewage smell. I informed the reception who promised to clean the re-room. That never happened. No apology given. The dinner took nearly 3 hours as it took 1 hour from appetiser to the soup (which is their standard items on the menu- not something we pre-ordered). Quality of the food was poor. We had fish, apparently meat was better. Pool area could be cleaner. There were no towels. Very few sun beds given the size of the property.

    Pros: Great premises. Lots of outside space. Very nice restaurant and kind staff. Pool area is great too. Ideal for families looking for a relaxed stay!

    Great stay

    Pros: Beautiful bush hotel with great facilities. The rooms were clean and spacious. Very close to Sigirya Lion's rock, Pidurangala Minneriya park and Dambulla temple cave.
    Cons: The meal service and check in process could use some improvement, it was quite slow despite not being very busy when we visited.

    Beautiful hotel in the middle of the forest

    Pros: A beautiful hotel in the middle of the forest, the staff were exceptional and made us feel instantly welcome. Maduranga in particular was fantastic, the food and drinks were also lovely. Be sure to book a village tour to explore the local village with a guide, and also have a massage in the spa as it is exceptional!

    Expected more from this hotel. Hotel staff not as friendly as other hotels we stayed at

    Pros: Big pool, wide selection at dinner time.
    Cons: Live singers at restaurant come and serenade you whether you like it or not and then expect a tip. We did a safaris tour we booked through hotel. However when we got there they failed to mention that payment at the safari was in cash only and as we were 5 we didnt take 50,000 RS with us so had to scramble around for money and ask other tourist to convert our s for us. The staff at the hotel should have told us this at the time. When we mentioned it to the hotel staff explaining it has been very stressful they didnt apologise.
