Maybe not superhip anymore. Still a cool spot.

Pros: Its still a cool place to be. Nice staff. Cool music. Relaxed atmosphere. Certainly needs a makeover in some areas. But we liked the vibe. Would come back anytime.

Cons: Nothing really to complain about. Sole areas might need a makeover. It feels anbit as if the best times are over. But potential to rise to full bloom again.

Cool hotel with great vibe

Pros: The hotel was very entertaining at every step. With nice restaurant, and bar. We only spent one night attending a wonderfully organized wedding, but everything was great. Staff was very friendly and professional, common spaces were nicely decorated with mid century modern vibe. I wish there was a small espresso machine in the rooms to top it off!

Just dont go and find another hotel - and NOT dog friendly. Its no wonder why Barbie never liked Ken!

Pros: The location is amazing and the aesthetic is cute. Very IG worthy pics. Amazing food and drinks at the pool bar.

Cons: Its my 4th time staying there (and now the last!) since it claims its dog friendly but I found it to be anything but this time. Ken, the awkward security guard, was basically following me around the last day after he spotted me and my 2 10 lb Chihuahuas (who were off a leash) on a morning walk and yelled at me that I was breaking the rules. The last straw was when he entered the pool area to have a very loud, aggressive and embarrassing conversation with me and basically made me feel like I was a terrible dog mom since I had them at the pool. There are zero signs that say dogs need to be leashed at all times and clearly Ive never had one single person tell me that during my previous stays and even at the front desk where the 2 pups and I have gone in for various questions (they are never on leashes). Also, they charge $25/ night for each dog and are not open about this pet charge at booking. Im pretty sure Ive never been charged it before since when you book online the only question they ask is how many adults or children are staying in the room. I feel like there are hidden fees, its definitely not as clean as its been in the past (the pool chairs and side tables are so rusted its shocking and the fabric on the cushions are so stained that you need to use 500 towels to feel like you wont catch something).

Fab, relaxed stay at The Ace Hotel.

Pros: We had a great stay at the Ace Hotel. Very relaxed vibe, which was welcomed after a full on week working in LA. Super big, cosy bed, and we enjoyed the room. Loved The Kings Highway for lunch, and loved the relaxing by the pool area. Really friendly, helpful staff.

Cons: Not much to comment on here, to be honest.
