September is the perfect month for exploring the many archeological sites within Athens; the Acropolis, Temple of Hephaestus, the Theatre of Dionysus, or Hadrian’s Arch will give you a window into ancient Greece when arts and philosophy thrived. If you happen to be there the first week of September, you could experience a powerful energetic connection to any one of these ancient sites. Airy Gemini’s will love the many rooftop bars and restaurants, and some even offer a view of the Acropolis from delightful open-air terraces. The Wiliwilinui Trail is just 20 minutes from Waikiki, and from the top of the trail you can see both the west and east coast of the island. Hike to Manoa Falls and swim under a beautiful natural waterfall, or test your endurance on the somewhat steep hike on Pillbox Trail which is on the east side of Oahu. If you would rather catch some waves, grab your board and hit The North Shore. The North Shore is definitely one of the hippest parts of the island. Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay State Park is another incredible water adventure. Take in the full Moon on September 14 or end your day basking in the warm and brilliant sunset behind waikiki or at the Tantalus Lookout for a spectacular sunset view and view that encompasses Honolulu.

The mile high city has so much to offer earthly Virgos! You will have so much energy around your birthday for all of the outdoor activities that are close to nature that you love. Denver really does have it all; the arts, music at the Fillmore, hiking or mountain biking in the nearby Red Rocks Park and amphitheatre or visiting the American Mountaineering Museum. You may never want to leave! After the full Moon on September 14, you may want to connect to the spiritual elements within nature that surrounds the city of Denver. The Ute Mountain Tribal park will give you a deep connection to the Land of the Sun. Nearby, the cliffs of Mesa Verde offer glimpses into an ancient culture that lived within the mountains. The cliff dwellings that are set into the mountainside are some of the best preserved in America. Watching the full Moon set with the backdrop of the mountains will be a spectacular part of your journey to Denver.

Airy Librans will love the scooter rentals that are on just about every corner in the Pearl District or in Southwest Portland. Scoot on in to any number of five-star spas, gourmet restaurants or hip clothing stores. If you are there during the full Moon on September 14, you may want to explore the waterfront park or hike about half a mile from the Upper Macleay Parking lot near the Portland Audubon Society to the Witches Castle. Or maybe a stroll through the Lan Su Garden (The Garden of Awakening Orchids) which is very close to the Pearl District. This garden has been called the most authentic Chinese gardens outside of China and it will feel as though you are truly transported to Japan!

Creative and individualistic Aquarians will love the flowing waterways that cut through the city of Recife. There are so many waterways in Recife city centre that it is often referred to as the “Brazilian Venice”. While you are exploring this amazing city, be sure to visit the Francisco Brennand Sculpture Park. This park has almost 100 sculptures, and the highlight of the park is the ‘Torre de Cristal’, a huge sculpture column that is almost 100 feet tall. You can also view the exhibits via a boat from the Praca do Marco Zero if you would rather enjoy the exhibit and other sites via the waterways. The luxurious sandy beaches near Recife are so many it is difficult to choose, pick your beach for the day and have fun! Beaches are just a short distance from the city and daily tours to the beaches are available. Through November you will have a strong taste for foreign cuisine. Recife will not disappoint with exotic foods in the area that are influenced by so many cultures including; Portuguese, Dutch, Spanish, Moors, African and the Indigenous Brazilians. Something for every taste! Be sure to take a short journey north to Olinda one evening to the Alto da Sé for the most scenic spot to soak up views of Recife and the ocean for sunset. The perfect end to an amazing day in Recife!

Watery Pisces, you will love the incredible architecture, cuisine and wine along with the beautiful waterway in the port city of Bordeaux, France! You might begin your tour in the heart of the city of Bordeaux, where you will find the spectacular Cathedral of Saint Andrew, built in the 12th century. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this cathedral was part of the Route of Saint James pilgrimage trail. After the full Moon on September 14, you will be particularly drawn to the arts. With so many options to choose from, you may decide upon the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. This museum is home to incredible objects d’art including; furniture, tableware, jewelry, miniatures, and musical instruments from the 18th and 19th centuries used by the aristocracy during the Enlightenment period in Bordeaux. There are a number of Chateaus and Abbeys that are just a short hop away from the city. Be sure to visit the Château de Pitray, which is about a one hour drive away from Bordeaux, where you will find more than 74 acres of vines, producing almost a quarter of a million bottles of wine per year. The beautiful Château de Pitray dates back to the 15th century, and is a must see!
