Oktoberfest is the world’s largest “Volksfest” and has become a worldwide event even though it originated in Germany. Each year people attend Oktoberfest to celebrate the Bavarian culture and of course beer! This year attend any of these events for an Oktoberfest 2019 that will be one for the books.

Munich Is where this event all began! Oktoberfest in Munich is a 2 weeklong event that must be experienced at least once in your lifetime. Millions of people attend each year and since its first celebration it has grown. This year the event runs from September 21st-October 6th and there will be 38 tents where attendees can get beer and pretzels plus rides and all the traditions that go along with Oktoberfest.

This year Nashville celebrates its 40th annual Oktoberfest! At this event, there is fun for everyone. There will be many vendors offering traditional German beer and food as well as vendors with arts and crafts. See their annual Dachshund Derby and stay for the parade through downtown while dancing to live German music.

USA Today dubbed Free Oktoberfest in Hunter NY one of the top 10 in the states! This event runs for four whole weekends and it is completely FREE to attend. Each weekend they have different happenings including a wine tasting and off-roading event. This modern take on Oktoberfest is sure to be a good time.

Cincinnati does Oktoberfest so big that this year the Friday before the event is a city-wide holiday! More than half a million people attend the Zinzinnati Oktoberfest. At their 43rd annual celebration party-goers can be part of the world’s largest chicken dance and of course eat all the brats and drink all the German beer they can.

This is Savannah’s 36th annual Oktoberfest. River Street is lined with vendors dishing out Bratwurst and other German cuisines. Grab a beer at their beer garden and dance the oompah all weekend long. They host a wiener race and even pumpkin painting for the kids!
