Travel Guide: Nashville

Weather

Tennessee’s climate varies from east to west, but it is generally considered to be moderate with four distinct seasons. Winters are mild with an average temperature of 40 degrees. Summer months are a prime time for outdoor recreation, with an average temperature of 83 degrees.

When to Visit

The best time to visit Nashville is from April through October, when the warm weather brings this music city to life. Although December is quite charming with Christmas decorations at the Opryland Hotel and the Belle Meade Plantation, winter is low season making travel less expensive.

Transportation

For just $1.60, you can ride the Nashville MTA’s route 18 Airport/Elm Hill Pike bus between the Nashville International Airport and Downtown Music City. If you plan to hang around the city, there is a high Uber and Lyft coverage to get you bar to bar. Renting a car is very easy if you wanted to get out and explore the rest of Tennessee!
