We were sorry our time at the Giotto went so fast.

Pros: We arrived at 9:30pm and everyone was very hospitable getting us settled in to our room. The dinning room stayed late to provide us with dinner which was excellent. Our room had a lovely view.

Cons: I would have liked fluffier pillows.

Old hotel with a great location, city view and dinner but requires solid renovation

Pros: The hotel has a great location: in the middle of the city, few minutes from the Basilica di San Francesco and close to other important churches in the city (dont't mix up with Porziuncola) and other places. There is a terrace on the entrance floor, close to chek-in point with a fantastic view on the city. You can have a snack and drink there watching sunset - awesome experience. A similar view (because on floor lower) you can have from the restaurant terrace, where you can have a delicious Italian cousine dinner with a great service. The cosmetics in the bathroom are R. Cavali brand - smell great, very surprising element. My mother had fantastic massage by a lady - she got so much relaxed and released from tensions after 2 week travelling. Thank you so much! Parking avaiable!

Cons: Too many things and that's why general assessment was too difficult. First of all, the room furniture were old, some not working and the general maintenance of common areas was disappointing. Beds were old, acceptable but not very comfortable. We found broken glass behind the wardrobe, spiderwebs high in the bathroom by the windows etc. etc. We really felt that we were in a room which has not changed much for the last 20-30 years. The breakfast was also a disappointment (especially compared to the dinner which was great) - although - the choice was not small, but the quality of food (cheese, meat, vegetables) was really low, with not fresh greens. On the opposite you can eat breakfast on a veranda with a view on the city - very relaxing and nice for the morning. We took advantage of the spa (which is actually 2 saunas: wet and dry and jacuzzi). This cost EUR30 pp and I believe, based on the quality of it, that should be simply free for hotel guests.

Cons: The room was tired very bare and the window was on a noisy road side the lift was in the service area the bathroom lighting was very poor ther was no Light in the shower Also the shower gel hadnt been filled wax empty
