Servicing guests from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Honduras, La Quinta Inns & Suites started with humble beginnings in 1968 during the HemisFair also known as the San Antonio Texas World’s Fair. Founded and built by entrepreneur Sam and Phil Bharshop, they built the La Quinta Inn or the “The Country Villa Inn” and later on became the first hotel under the successful brand La Quinta Inn & Suites.

The first ever La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in San Antonio, Texas also served as the headquarters of the brand. It was later on relocated to Irving, Texas in 1999. In 2005, LQ Corporation, the company behind the La Quinta hotel brands agreed to be acquired by the Blackstone Group for a whopping $3.4 billion, both in cash and in debt. The merger materialized and was completed in January of 2006.

At present, company and franchised hotels under the La Quinta Inn & Suites are consisted of more than 87,500 rooms, around 890 properties in total located in different locations in all the 48 states in the United States. Hotel branches in Canada, Colombia, Mexico and Honduras area also included in this number, segregated under the La Quinta Inn & Suites, La Quinta Inn and the LQ Hotel brands.

Pros: Clean rooms, everything in working condition.

Cons: Ive stayed here about 6 or 7 different times as I live hours away from my nursing school and this hotel has always been my favorite. But this past stay wasnt very great, there was people in every room beside mine and was noisy. Im not sure if they purposely placed me in this part thinking I would be noisy as I never had this problem before. I was woken up to noise at 2am and had to be up at 6 in the morning. Overall Im sure I will stay again but will request to not be in a crowded area if possible.

Overall no major complaints. Staff have always been friendly and Ive stayed multiple times at this location.

Cons: The shower pressure was too hard but I would rather that than too little. The shower head may need adjusting. Also the bath tub in the room I got wasnt like my room before which was a disappointment this time.

Pros: The front desk staff was friendly.

Cons: It was very run down. To their credit it appeared to be going through a renovation but our room had not been renovated. There was peeling paint in the tub, a hole in the bathroom door, and very minimal furniture. We were also given the first room off the lobby on the first floor. The hallway was loud and there was a truck idling outside our room for much of the night.

DONT DO IT!!

Pros: I didn't really "like" anything. I had come from the other La Quinta about 5 Mi down the road, which initially pissed me off so much I was done with La Quinta after this. I tried to add a night to my first night stay and nobody knew how to do it nobody would do it so I had to pack up and check out and buy a night separately at a different location. It was almost twice as much as the first night. The hallways were extremely smelly, the breakfast was subpar, and they were out of biscuits by 8 in the morning. Nobody replaced them. There were blood stains on my sheets.. the bathtub was stained and gross, and the water pressure was non-existent. The Latino lady that works the front desk is as sweet as can be very helpful, and she did let me check in super early for the trouble of having to switch hotels. You can tell that she cares about the hotel, but it doesn't seem like her coworkers are getting the picture. There was also people on top of our heads stomping kids running through the hallways all hours of the night. She gave me the room directly across the service desk in front of the front door which nobody should have to have especially not at $100 a night. Our keys didn't work either.
