Servicing guests from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Honduras, La Quinta Inns & Suites started with humble beginnings in 1968 during the HemisFair also known as the San Antonio Texas World’s Fair. Founded and built by entrepreneur Sam and Phil Bharshop, they built the La Quinta Inn or the “The Country Villa Inn” and later on became the first hotel under the successful brand La Quinta Inn & Suites.

The first ever La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in San Antonio, Texas also served as the headquarters of the brand. It was later on relocated to Irving, Texas in 1999. In 2005, LQ Corporation, the company behind the La Quinta hotel brands agreed to be acquired by the Blackstone Group for a whopping $3.4 billion, both in cash and in debt. The merger materialized and was completed in January of 2006.

At present, company and franchised hotels under the La Quinta Inn & Suites are consisted of more than 87,500 rooms, around 890 properties in total located in different locations in all the 48 states in the United States. Hotel branches in Canada, Colombia, Mexico and Honduras area also included in this number, segregated under the La Quinta Inn & Suites, La Quinta Inn and the LQ Hotel brands.

Pros: I liked that the hotel was cleaned, check in was quick and easy, along with the location being very convenient.

Cons: The light on the mirror kept dying and coming back on. Could not turn the TV on due to the TV remote not working at all in Room 305. The room also smelled musty, and the air conditioner needs to be cleaned properly and thoroughly.

Pros: I enjoyed the breakfast and the luggage carts were always available.

Cons: The floors weren't clean and the sheets had sand in them. They have a no smoke policy which they strictly enforce with a security guard at night. We don't smoke but we witnessed a man being grabbed by this guard. This name entered the La Quinta parking lot from the PUBLIC sidewalk. We witnessed him smoking only on the public sidewalk by the road.

My reservation was not available...

Cons: My reservation was not available and I was put in a very filthy secondary room with 2 beds , very strong dog odor , moldy and rusted bathroom , poor ventilation. No soap or shampoo , we did not use the bathtub as we were very afraid of the mold , I also took photos of mentioned . The floor had my feet black within 10 minutes of removing my shoes . Very uncomfortable and disappointing , we drive 8 hrs to get there .

Pros: Location was perfect and the rooms were nice and spacious.

Cons: There should be more options at breakfast and also more room to sit down and enjoy breakfast.

This hotel saved my stay...

Pros: The property was clean, someone was sweeping as we walked in the lobby and the room smelled great when we walked in. Everyone from the maintenance, front desk, to the breakfast attendant was pleasant! Please reward your staff. We WILL be back.

Pros: We didn’t have a good experience at the property and will not return.

Cons: The staff were extremely rude and u friendly to the guests. There were two women that never welcomed us when we came and were rude when we asked for towels etc.
