About La Quinta Inn & Suites By Wyndham Brand Hotels

Servicing guests from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Honduras, La Quinta Inns & Suites started with humble beginnings in 1968 during the HemisFair also known as the San Antonio Texas World’s Fair. Founded and built by entrepreneur Sam and Phil Bharshop, they built the La Quinta Inn or the “The Country Villa Inn” and later on became the first hotel under the successful brand La Quinta Inn & Suites.

 

The first ever La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in San Antonio, Texas also served as the headquarters of the brand. It was later on relocated to Irving, Texas in 1999. In 2005, LQ Corporation, the company behind the La Quinta hotel brands agreed to be acquired by the Blackstone Group for a whopping $3.4 billion, both in cash and in debt. The merger materialized and was completed in January of 2006.

 

At present, company and franchised hotels under the La Quinta Inn & Suites are consisted of more than 87,500 rooms, around 890 properties in total located in different locations in all the 48 states in the United States. Hotel branches in Canada, Colombia, Mexico and Honduras area also included in this number, segregated under the La Quinta Inn & Suites, La Quinta Inn and the LQ Hotel brands.

    Terrible

    Pros: Nothing will never stay a one again
    Cons: Cockroaches, carpets filthy cobwebs, ceiling stained just dirty, one elevator working only the front door was accessible. None of the other doors worked had to walk around all the time to get in, but they wanted you to park in the back.

    Pros: This was the dirtiest nasties Hotel I’ve ever almost stayed in. The only thing that I liked about the property was that it was located near a lot more better quality hotels.
    Cons: They had lots of roaches, and the carpet in the room was so dirty I never wanted any part of my skin to touch it!

    Pros: Didn’t have many choice of breakfast. Disappointed no fresh fruits.
    Cons: Not clean at all. Elevator was so dirty didn’t want to touch the button. Carpet o. The hallway was dirty. Bathroom door needed clean. Rust all over the place. Key card didn’t work properly, had to try several times of try to work after having it adjusted.

    Pros: Nothing
    Cons: First of all they limit the volume to 30 on all the tvs, I have never heard of that. The door to the hotel room was difficult and having problems locking and needed maintenance to help with it then everything is out of order from the elevators to the ice machine and there is constantly sketchy people walking around each floors. It is very nasty with blood stains and medical gloves all over the halls, I do not feel safe and I haven’t even completed my stay here.

    Cons: Filthy room. Not clean at all! Smelled like weed. Carpet filthy. Smudges on light switches. Mattress stained with holes in it. Bad. Very bad.

    Cons: This property is very filthy and disgusting. The carpet is dirty. It seems like it is an extended stay. The elevators were broken. There were trash bags in the hallway. Wyndham should be ashamed. They shouldn’t even want their name on that building. It is disgusting. I checked in and checked out within four minutes.

    Pros: It was close to I-95 and there several restaurants close by.
    Cons: La Quinta was dirty. We didn’t even date to use the shower because it was dirty and the paint was peeling off. The elevators were very dirty and old.

    Was a last minute hotel...

    Pros: Great location
    Cons: Didn’t like the fact my daughter couldn’t watch tv because the remote didn’t work, wall sockets didn’t hold chargers in some, no fan in the bathroom when showering, only two pillows for each bed and the elevator needs to be fixed.

    The hotel is run down...

    Pros: The bed was comfortable
    Cons: When I got to the hotel I was given a room only to open find out it was occupied.only the far from lobby elevator worked and it was very shaky!! The hotel is very run down and filthy. Change the carpets and paint it .
