Servicing guests from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Honduras, La Quinta Inns & Suites started with humble beginnings in 1968 during the HemisFair also known as the San Antonio Texas World’s Fair. Founded and built by entrepreneur Sam and Phil Bharshop, they built the La Quinta Inn or the “The Country Villa Inn” and later on became the first hotel under the successful brand La Quinta Inn & Suites.

The first ever La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in San Antonio, Texas also served as the headquarters of the brand. It was later on relocated to Irving, Texas in 1999. In 2005, LQ Corporation, the company behind the La Quinta hotel brands agreed to be acquired by the Blackstone Group for a whopping $3.4 billion, both in cash and in debt. The merger materialized and was completed in January of 2006.

At present, company and franchised hotels under the La Quinta Inn & Suites are consisted of more than 87,500 rooms, around 890 properties in total located in different locations in all the 48 states in the United States. Hotel branches in Canada, Colombia, Mexico and Honduras area also included in this number, segregated under the La Quinta Inn & Suites, La Quinta Inn and the LQ Hotel brands.

Pros: I was not happy with my first room, and the second too. The guy at the lobby was polite and very friendly. he asked me to call if the third room has a problem. Great customer service, quiet place. I think his name was Kay-P, he was very nice. I would recommend the place.

Perfect for what we needed!

Pros: Nice hotel and friendly staff! The bed was comfortable but made a very loud creaking noise when you turned over or got out of the bed. Almost sounded like a part of the frame wasn't secured all the way. Other than that, the room was great! Nicely decorated, great size tv, nice lighting fixtures. The bathroom is small but exactly what you need and the water pressure was good. The free breakfast wasn't gourmet but was a nice touch to get something in your belly before going out for the day. Would 10/10 recommend and would stay here again.

Cons: Just the bed making the creaking noise. Probably could have been a quick fix but didn't really bother us that much. Just a little annoying. Everything else was great and would stay there again.

Pros: The entire facility was new, bright and clean including rooms. Large screen television with lots of channels and fast wifi. Refrigerator (mid-size) and microwave in room. Bathroom was a little tight but powerful shower with lots of hot water. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash provided. Nice hot breakfast, efficiently operated with adequate seating. Large open sunny lobby with seating, tables and wifi. Free coffee, tea and cocoa all day! Staff was helpful and accommodating, pre-registration on-line available.

Cons: Nothing that I can think of except they need to get softer closer on secondary first floor entry door and door from hallway to stairway and get rid of signs saying not to let door slam.
