Servicing guests from the United States, Mexico, Canada and Honduras, La Quinta Inns & Suites started with humble beginnings in 1968 during the HemisFair also known as the San Antonio Texas World’s Fair. Founded and built by entrepreneur Sam and Phil Bharshop, they built the La Quinta Inn or the “The Country Villa Inn” and later on became the first hotel under the successful brand La Quinta Inn & Suites.

The first ever La Quinta Inn & Suites hotel in San Antonio, Texas also served as the headquarters of the brand. It was later on relocated to Irving, Texas in 1999. In 2005, LQ Corporation, the company behind the La Quinta hotel brands agreed to be acquired by the Blackstone Group for a whopping $3.4 billion, both in cash and in debt. The merger materialized and was completed in January of 2006.

At present, company and franchised hotels under the La Quinta Inn & Suites are consisted of more than 87,500 rooms, around 890 properties in total located in different locations in all the 48 states in the United States. Hotel branches in Canada, Colombia, Mexico and Honduras area also included in this number, segregated under the La Quinta Inn & Suites, La Quinta Inn and the LQ Hotel brands.

Get to breakfast earlier or...

Pros: Spacious room and layout. Nice pool. Front desk was great.

Cons: Breakfast person was rude. 30 minutes before end of breakfast, there were no hot foods. She said it was too late to make more. Informed front desk, showed then the time, and she still didn't do it. . Not very professional at all. Had to make sure to be down there early next two days to take foods to the room to make sure we had our breakfast...

Pros: It was clean for the most part

Cons: Waited for 20 minutes for someone to show up and check us in. Was told that our room was on a floor that the elevator did not work on, was promised a 10% discount if we took it! We did and when checking out did not get a discount on our stay! Not worth the price of a room where there is no security and where crime is all over! But it is Albuquerque what do you expect!!!

Cons: The elevator didn’t work for the 3rd floor, there was puke in the pool, our room was dirty, the a/c unit didn’t work and no one at the facilities gave a crap about helping us.

Pros: No concerns to report about the breakfast. The helper did his job. Made sure everything was refilled in a timely manner. He did great. I didn't get his name, but he may have been early 20's black male. The front desk clerk, I think her name was Sonia, was very helpful with getting me settled in. If you got a room on the 3rd floor the elevator only went to the 2nd floor & you had to take the stairs & she explained that to everyone coming in. She was able to place me on the 2nd floor. The hot tub was not working, which she did inform us at check-in. Which we didn't use, but she did inform us. The rooms were clean, once checked in the house keeper came to the room to check to see if it was okay. Didn't get her name, but she was very friendly. I did have to call the front desk due to loud music which sounded like a party & within 2mins the problem was taken care of. Overall I had a good stay & would return.

Cons: The shower curtain in the bathroom was to small & didn't close all the way.

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Elevator, hot tub, waffle/pancake maker, ice machine were all broken. After reading online reviews many people said the same thing, which tells me no one cares or is doing anything to fix it. Dirty hotel room, wasn’t cleaned. It was gross. Terrible area with lots of homeless. Breakfast had two options and both were awful. Shouldn’t even offer breakfast. Hall smelled like smoke. I have never been to a hotel this bad!

Stay was full of property...

Pros: Property was updated.

Cons: The hotel was in a sketchy area. Took 20 min to check in and I was second in line when I arrived. No working elevator to get our family of 5 up to 3rd floor. Found blood on the floor of the elevator when we attempted to use the non working elevator. Blood was still there in morning. Dog hair all over the hotel room. The worst part was we had no running hot water for entire 3rd floor but no maintenance worker was available to fix until after checkout. Breakfast was also not good. Pancake maker was broken.

Barely adequate

Pros: No waffle or French toast. Eggs were cold not good no sausage or bacon. No milk

Cons: Loud banging from room above. Ice machine loud. Bathroom not clean. Dirt in The corners. Fan in bathroom not working. Water had a fishy smell. Hotel hard to locate. Luggage cart broken.
