Amazing staff and good location

Pros: Staff were friendly and the room was very clean and spacious!

Cons: The shower did not have a shower door or curtain, this made water splash everywhere, making the toilet wet every time we shower. Apart from that, it was amazing.

Pros: The location was great, rooms were comfortable and clean.

Cons: Hotel has bad exchange rate when paying by card. The difference was 10% compared to the exchange rate on the day. I would suggest that you pay during booking if possible or bring cash if you're overseas traveller. No Netflix and YouTube.

Unbeatable value, location, room.

Pros: 1. The location is unbeatable. Only 5-7mins walk from Taichung train station, a shopping mall, and directly opposite Miyahara. Many great breakfast spots nearby. 2. Free access to washing machine & dryer, although you should bring your own laundry pods/ detergent if youre particular. 3. We loved that the toilet comes with a heated seat and a bidet! For a 3 star hotel this is quite uncommon. 4. The room is big for two of us with 24-26 luggages & plenty of space to spare. We even had space to exercise! 5. The price is unbeatable. If youre looking for a sign to book, this is it!

Cons: 1. The toilet bowl cover was slightly loose, so it was a small hassle trying to keep it upright! 2. Itll be an extra touch of hospitality, we would feel even more welcomed if the staff could say a hi/ bye each time we walk pass the reception to exit or enter the hotel! Nevertheless we were still happy with the place.

Great service and location in a very modern and clean space

Pros: The room was very spacious and modern, clean and well-lit. The lounge chair with footstool was one of the most comfortable cushiony and angled-just-right chairs I've ever experienced (and it was a well-needed relaxing sit from a day of traveling). The overall room lighting was especially easy on the eyes and well-placed. The lamp over the desk was especially calming with its bright yet soft glow. The bathroom was sufficient and bright. The toilet was HCG (Toto-like) and the overall room amenities were pretty good. The staff service and presentation were very exceptional (they had a Japanese professionalism to them). They greeted us very politely as well as escorted and bowed when leaving us to the elevators. They also called up a cab for us promptly and communicated more rather than less; they were attentive and conscientious--we liked that kind of service. The location was perfect for us as we wanted to go to the Miyahara ice-cream shop across the street and also visit some nearby attractions.

Cons: I didn't mind the design of the bathroom shower which had this translucent permenant wall as a 'curtain' but it was a bit oddly placed as it left a strange gap, as this 'wall' didn't seal up the first corner or start from the front facing shower wall but was like floating about 15-20 cm away. Though it was sufficient to hold back water spraying from a say smaller, more petite, person, for a bigger person, the water would expect to leak out considerably into the rest of the bathroom. The in-room safe was too small to fit a 13" laptop. The safe was also complicated to use as I initially was trying to hold open the small door which it being so small, my hand hit a few buttons at the same time and this somehow set it into the settings mode for the date or something and I couldn't get it back to normal after trying for a long time until leaving it alone. The breakfast was so-so in terms of variety and taste. We've had much more interesting and more delicious hotel breakfasts at similarly-priced hotels which was a shame because we chose this hotel based also on the breakfast room ambience which in reality was as beautifully-decorated as expected from the photos (calm and peaceful with comfortable chairs and with very good natural light).
